Origopro TST thermal jacket is made of light carbon fiber reinforced ripstop fabric, made for very cold conditions.
The jacket’s superior thermal insulation is based on the insulating air layer between two windproof fabrics, where hollow fiber Climashield Apex thermal insulation has been used as thermal insulation.
The outer fabric is 98% polyamide 2% carbon fiber. Carbon fiber strengthens the fabric and, thanks to its electrical conductivity, removes the fabric’s electricity.
The lining fabric is a calendered 100% polyamide fabric also used in down jackets. In calendering, the fabric passes between the calendering cylinders, where it is pressed into an airtight state with the help of heat and pressure. The fabric maintains its natural breathability in the process. Air permeability decreases, so the heat radiating from the body cannot escape.
The fiber structure of the insulation is diagonal, which means that it does not need to be quilted to the lining fabric. When there is no need to do quilting, there are also no pinholes forming cold bridges.
Climashield Apex insulation is spongy, which is why it fills the space between the body and the insulation perfectly so that there is no empty space under the jacket to be heated.
The mouths of the pockets open backwards, allowing the wind from the front to blow into the pockets.
There are ventilation zippers in the armpit where excess heat can be released to the outside air.
A zippered calf pocket where the cell phone stays warm can be found on the inside of the jacket
Up to 70% of the heat evaporates through the head. The jacket has taken this into account by doubling the insulation of the hood. Hood adjustments are versatile. We have not made a better hood than this before, nor have we seen it anywhere else.
M05 frost pattern fabrics meet the NIR specification.
The zippers are Opti zippers, the same ones that are used in co-Nordic combat gear.
