Nuka-Trail Rifle Cover: Lightweight and Durable Protection

This high-quality rifle cover was developed in close collaboration with experienced outdoorsman Kari Jokinen (Nuka Trail). It provides excellent protection for your firearm and optics in changing conditions without compromising portability.

Lightweight Yet Extremely Durable Construction

The primary material is an ultra-lightweight polyamide carbon-fiber ripstop, which effectively repels water, dirt, and splashes. The tip of the cover is reinforced with heavy-duty Cordura polyamide, preventing the muzzle from wearing through or puncturing the fabric.

User-Focused Design

• Unobstructed Carrying: Thanks to its clever design, you can carry the rifle using its own sling while the cover is in place.

• Secure Fit: Integrated elastic cords keep the cover under tension, ensuring it stays firmly seated on the rifle.

• Velcro Closure: The opening can be secured with two sturdy Velcro straps, providing extra protection against debris.

• Pocket-Sized: The cover rolls up into an extremely small space, allowing it to be carried unnoticed in a cargo pocket when not in use.

The cover is optimized for rifles between 100–125 cm in length.

Legal Requirements for Transporting Firearms in Finland

When transporting a firearm in Finland, the Nuka-Trail Rifle Cover is designed to help you comply with the legal obligations set by Finnish law. According to the statutes, a firearm must be transported unloaded, kept inside a case or cover, and must not be immediately accessible for hunting.

Firearms Act (9.1.1998/1)

In a motor vehicle, a firearm must be transported unloaded in a case or placed in a protected compartment. Furthermore, the transportation of hunting weapons must comply with the provisions of the Hunting Act.

In aircraft, motor vehicles, or vessels (while the engine is running), a hunting weapon must be unloaded and placed in a case/cover or a protected compartment. Despite these restrictions, an unloaded hunting weapon may be transported in a motor vehicle as long as it is in a case, a protected compartment, or in a space where it is not immediately accessible for hunting.
