The Ilves Combat Suit is an advanced version of the Defense Forces combat suit, designed to excel in extreme cold-weather conditions. This upgraded suit features windproof and water-repellent polyamide fabric, reinforced with carbon fiber rip-stop material for enhanced durability. The M05 winter camo pattern is printed on the reinforcement fabric on the knees and the insulation pocket on the backside.
Thermal insulation is provided by 3oz, 110g/m² Climashield Apex, the same hollow fiber insulation used in the Nordic Combat Uniform (NCU) project under the Nordic defense cooperation (NORDEFCO). It’s the same insulation used by the U.S. Army in their extreme cold-weather gear. This updated insulation ensures warmth in temperatures as low as -30°C, and with proper layering, it can withstand temperatures down to -40°C.
Additional features of the Ilves Combat Suit include rear seat insulation, updated clip suspenders, and four knee pads, all included free of charge with every order from the origopro.com online store.
