NIJ IIIA is the highest defined level of protection against handguns and indicates how bulletproof the vest is.
If you want even higher protection against non-handguns, then you can use additional plates.
Meets the puncture protection standard NIJ 0115.00 S1, with a value of 55 J
55J (Joules) indicates how strong energy, i.e. a knife blow, is stopped by the plates of the vest. Normal vests meet 20J.
The 55J of the PGD DELTA vest is therefore more than twice as safe as a normal vest.
The vest is ultra-thin, only 4.9 mm thick. This guarantees 10/10 flexibility in all directions.

The inner surface of PGD’s DELTA vest uses Outlast® PCM technology developed by NASA, which keeps the body temperature just right for up to 12-14 hours a day.
When it’s warm, the vest stores thermal energy and when it’s cold, it releases it. In the cold, technology binds coolness to itself, which it gives away in the warm.
The same material is used by the Finnish Defense Forces in their combat shirts.
The bulletproof plates are sealed to be 100% waterproof and sweatproof with ultrasound technology. Moisture, sweat and water cannot get inside the protective cover and the discs remain protected.
Therefore, bulletproof panels can be given a 7-year ballistic warranty, which is two years more than what the standard requires.
