Origo beanie is made of the best possible non-mulesing merino wool. Origopro buys wool yarn directly from an Italian yarn manufacturer. The yarn is knitted and sewn in Estonia at Origopro’s partner factory.
It is believed that the history of the knitted beanie dates back to Wales in the 16th century and, after the invention of the knitting machine, production would have been adopted in Norway.
After many stages, the knitted beanie became known in World War II as the “Watch Cap” of the Navy. In the late 20th century, the famous marine scientist Jacques Cousteau was often seen wearing an orange-red Watch Cap.
Now this “Beanie” has been adopted for Origopro’s own production.
The soft and flexible 2 × 1 elastic knit makes the beanie pleasantly loose and holds a lot of insulating air inside. As it gets wet, the wool fiber curls even more even more, so it remains feeling dry and warm, despite the damp. Wool is naturally antibacterial and usually does not need to be washed, ventilation is enough. However, if you ever want to wash the product, we recommend you hand wash and use a detergent specially designed for wool washing.
When you put on your authentic Origopro merino beanie, you will feel satisfied with your purchase. Guaranteed professional quality. You couldn’t wish for a better hat. This beanie will be a joy for years to come.
